Melhi Foundation

Pakistan is home to one of the worlds largest populations and unfortunately also among the poorest. Most of the population lives in entirely adverse circumstances with some reports indicating that around 40% of the population lives below the poverty line.

Internal political disputes, economic disparity, corruption, a fast-growing population, terrorism, climate change and other social and cultural issues have only added to the misfortunes of Pakistanis and in such bleak circumstances it becomes incumbent upon us and others who can, to alleviate some of that suffering – and that is where our foundation comes in.

Melhi Foundation serves as a platform to enable all of Melhi Groups businesses to combine financial and managerial resources to enrich lives and pave the way for sustainable living.

We not only fulfil the duty of Zakaat through the foundation but go well beyond it, constantly making efforts to contribute meaningfully to the communities in which we operate and the nation as a whole.

Here are some of the philanthropic endeavors we are involved in:

Education

We hope to empower and uplift underprivileged sections of society through education by funding and constructing schools.

Disaster Relief

We provide assistance and aid in the form of food, shelter, and medical supplies to those affected by natural disasters anywhere in Pakistan.

Health Care

We fund health care facilities and other organizations in Punjab that actively work on treating patients and promote preventative care and disease management.

Protecting the environment

We fund initiatives that preserve Pakistan's natural resources and biodiversity and fight climate change to secure a better future for our children.

Financial Aid

We strive to alleviate the financial strain on people through altruistic donations and play our role in breaking the cycle of poverty

An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
